Marie

I have a passion for capturing the genuine moments and quiet magic that make up a wedding day. My approach is rooted in storytelling — I aim to be the friend behind the camera who can gently guide when needed while also capturing candid moments that unfold naturally.

Over the past decade, I’ve had the honor of photographing hundreds of weddings and events and traveling to places like Mexico and Italy for shoots — each time showing up not just with gear in hand, but with a genuine eagerness to support and reflect your story. I’m as comfortable coordinating family photos as I am chasing golden-hour light for those dreamy portraits you’ll love.

WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE WEDDING MEMORY SO FAR?

Early in my career, I photographed a wedding where the bride’s grandmother couldn’t attend due to last-minute travel issues — or so everyone thought. On the morning of the wedding, she surprised the bride by walking into the getting-ready suite with the biggest smile. It was such a heartfelt, emotional moment. Moments like that remind me how lucky I am to be able to capture genuine love and connection in photos.

WHAT IS YOUR AREA OF PERFECT HAPPINESS?

Perfect happiness is a slow morning — no alarm, no rush — just time spent with family and loved ones over good food and laughter. For me, joy comes from simple, meaningful moments and feeling content exactly where I am.

WHERE ARE YOUR FAVORITE LOCAL HANGOUTS/SECRET SPOTS?

Los Angeles has so many hidden gems! I love walking along the Palos Verdes cliff trails for ocean views, grabbing coffee along the San Pedro waterfront at Siren’s, and ending the day with dinner at The Red Onion (their salsa and margaritas are unbeatable). Those little local spots always make L.A. feel like home.

WHAT IS YOUR MOST PRIZED POSSESSION?

My most prized possessions are family photo albums, some of which include black and white photos from generations ago. Growing up, the hallways were covered in family photos and my mom always reminded us that if there were ever a fire, we should save the photo albums first! This lesson stuck with me and is probably a big reason why preserving memories through photographs means so much to me today.

WHAT IF I TOLD YOU THAT YOU COULD TRAVEL ANYWHERE RIGHT NOW?

Yosemite National Park! It’s been on my travel bucket list for years. The combination of waterfalls, towering granite cliffs, and diverse nature is so iconic. I’d love to spend a few days there hiking and taking photos of the beautiful nature.

Go-tos

Podcasts

I love listening to history and true crime podcasts while editing photos. It’s the perfect mix of focus and entertainment.

Music

If I’m not deep in a podcast, you’ll almost always find music playing in the background. My playlists range from classic rock to instrumental to pop, depending on the mood.

Matcha Boba

My go-to order at any boba shop and possibly my favorite drink ever.

Reading

There’s nothing better than getting lost in a good book! I’ve loved reading since I was a kid, a hobby that’s shared by the rest of my family.

Traveling

I have so many fond memories of visiting family in Norway as a kid. Some of my favorite places I’ve been to are Norway in the summer and Whistler, Canada in the fall — both places feel like something out of a storybook.

Period Dramas

I especially love British period dramas like Downton Abbey and North and South. Those are forever comfort watches in my home!
